I’m glad it’s over, and the election is behind us. Maybe the fighting and verbal destruction can take a break. Despite what both sides warned, our world didn’t implode. We’re still here, looking forward to tomorrow.
Heading into election day, our country was incredibly divided. Now that it’s over, the country is still very divided. And we still have a choice. Whatever side you choose, I hope it is towards a way forward.
It’s still not too late for us to choose compassion, for us to talk to one another and to really listen. For us to try and build something strong and positive – new friends, new communities, new opportunities.
Some things may be tougher for us, while other things may be easier. Let’s just choose working together, for the good of all of us.
I’m choosing to grab hold of love and camp out there. I am committed to making my corner of the world better, right where I am. I hope you will do the same.
I just want to remind you that you matter, and you make a difference. Together, we can do this.
John
